Diff oils for serpent 720 at Aldershot

Postby Roger » 27 Jan 2010, 22:36

Hi
Could somebody pls tell me which weight of diff oils is best for the track or is it best just to run a spool at the front with diff only on the rear?
Thanks Roger

Hi,

I would suggest starting out with

80,000cst in front.

30,000cst or 20,000cst in the rear depending on the grip available, using the 30,000 when the grip comes up and the 20,000 when grip is low.

Hope this helps.

Hi Colin

That is the master plan when my shift work at the airport allows and the boss who must be obeyed gives capital sanction.

We have a Serpent 710 and a Serpent 720 which are both now rebuilt and working but mine bogs down a bot on take up

Thanks Roger and Abbey
