Can I make a suggestion ? Could we sugar coat the track b4 practice commences ? It would Rele help with tyres especially when numbers are low ? Only a thought . Adirondack did it for the ess and the grip didn't Rele differ between New and old tyres .

it took ages for the track to stop feeling greasy, after 2 rounds of practice the grip started to come up,i think it would need doing on the saturday, not enough cars to get the grip up,the new and old tyre debate got me,i went half a sec faster a lap on new rubber

17.5T for me...

Glen, Adur track came good on second day for most. First day at practice rounds many had grip issues, and even those running on Vintage class had more grip! Q1 and Q2 got a bit better... Second day for me the track really came alive and new Sorex boots made quite a difference. Those on vintage class tyres got quicker after each run... :D

I only did the Sunday the weekend b4 , I had more than enough grip all day and posted faster lap times on older rubber . Maybe they changed from coke to something else ?

i think it may have been overdone,it was asda cheap stuff,it felt as though once the top layer wore through then the grip came,i was out in the early heats and the second run on each day was/would have been the fastest runs, had my rear wing not fallen off
on the sunday morning after the overnight dew it was greasy in the practice run (3 mins each heat)and was still not right until the mod guys went out

Yeah it's possible they put too much down. Practice the week b4 was a little Slippy . Dave has also said he was the same speed on older tyres as he was on new

Glen, I got a feeling if it is not sunny and hot coking takes a while to get the grip just a guess though.

Briefly tested the sprayer with Nick with water at his place a few days ago and it gives a great fine mist and consistent as its electric powered, 2-3-4 meter boom etc... the tank is rather big as it is designed to go on ATV but we may have to nick some grannies mobility vehicle or get a decent strong trolley!
