Scott.
How did the Reventon Pro perform today?
Am I likely to set a PB next week or should I be thinking about reinstalling the Hobbywing?

Kevin
After two rounds of messing about with gearing timing and speedo settings I then went and sent new pb 19,303 . then in last quil i was improving but made a few small mistakes. The thing with the cogging is not a problem when racing and we checked James and if you throttle slowly it cogs,my motor run a lot cooler that normal and car had pace and grunt ,so I am very pleased.Hope to see you next week to see how yours goes

Brilliant... right up to the point when I realised your PB is now better than mine :(

Hopefully next week the weather will be kind and I'll get some clean runs because it's beginning to cool off so we're getting close to the point where new PB's are going to be hard to set. After the meeting next week I won't be able to race again until 13th October by which time it'll almost certainly be too late to improve until next spring.

What overall gearing did you end up with?

See you next week

Kev.

Run our Tekin now for 4 years +. Original hardware with 4 software updates. Run it with 10.5 13.5 and 17.5 with variety of motor makes. Never had a problem.

Kev ended up gearing at 3.04 and 1.5 in the window on motor couldn't tell you what that equates to timing on other motors

Quick question...

Why do you run drag brake? in blinky you need the car to carry its speed when coasting/off power

Hmmmm. Haven't run drag brake since I very first switched from 27T stock to brushless about a century ago. I'll try without at first but it seems to have worked for you, you must have knocked about three or four seconds off your PB.
Were you on new rubber?

Kev knocked 3 seconds off my old pb and it was on old rubber from about 4meetings ago including SRL ,but when i put new rubber on I was improving until I made a mistake ended up with a 19/307 but had faster lap times until the mistake. To answer your question Jay all I can say is that I no longer have drag brake.
