2014 AGM

Postby noreHneB » 25 Oct 2014, 17:02

Hi guys, I know it's still early but I thought it would be a good idea, now that the summer championship is out of the way, to open a forum thread to allow people to start submitting AGM proposals for this year, you can either submit them onto the forum on here OR you can print off a form which is attached to this post and pass onto me directly, I will also have printouts available from race control.

Saves the last minute rush that we had last year.

I propose that the bar on the rostrum that was put in for IC drivers is removed as we don't use the pit lane anymore...

I'd like to propose that we drop one of the extra finals brought in last year and replace it with an additional round of qualifying.

This would give us 5 rounds of qualifying & 2 finals for the summer and 4 rounds of qualifying & 2 finals for the winter.

Being a short a**e myself I find I'm at eye level with tall people's transmitters so I found the bar being moved back help me see the hairpin and chicane better now, before it was almost impossible to see the hairpin

I love the idea of round by round , it makes the whole day worth while other than just the last round of qualifying , as can happen on days the track is slowly drying etc .

I second the round by round idea, even if only when the weather isn't great.

As for removing the bar, it was done for 2 reasons. The pit lane was impossible to see and also the end of the sweeper was difficult to see for those standing on the left of the rostrum. Removing is impractical as bars were cut from the existing guards.

I propose that we run one "Championship" round per month on the second weekend of the month. I'm not suggesting reducing the numbers of meetings as we all understand the reasons as to why meetings are run so often.

So my proposal is that only 1 meeting per month counts towards the championship as to encourage more people to come regularly as there not many people would be able to commit to racing enough to do enough rounds to complete a championship as it stands.

not a bad idea but what to do with the other 2 meetings per month, how about 2 rounds a month count towards the tc championship and the other meeting could be for a vta championship, all you need is a different shell and wheels and tyres, the tyres apparently last quite a while and get faster as they get thinner

asking the question, would anyone be interested in a vta championship?
