Welcome to the
Aldershot Model Car Club (AMCC) website. The Club is dedicated to
racing radio controlled model cars and bikes at our purpose built tarmac track. The track is
located at Badshot Lea
(
map) on the border of Hampshire and Surrey between Aldershot and Farnham.
The cars and bikes we race are either electric (battery) powered or IC (Nitro) powered.
We hold regular club meetings (
race calendar) normally twice
a month throughout the year. You do not have to be an expert to race at these meetings. Just
bring along your car and introduce yourself to one of the
committee
and we will help you through your first meeting.
To get you started take a look at the
guide to racing
page. You will need some essential equipment to get you started (spare batteries, charger etc.). If in doubt just email us
using the
contact us form or post your question on the
forum. We also have a tea-hut open during meetings selling hot food and drinks at very reasonable prices.
A unique feature of the club is that the track is availbe for you to use for practise 7 days a week (except on race days of course).
All we ask is that you become a club member before using the track for practise. This helps
us to meet the cost of maintaing the track.
Non-members are however very welcome to race at club meetings. This can be a good way to give
racing a try before committing to joining the club.
Please browse around the site as there's much more information about the club, what the
track looks like, membership fees, race fees etc.
Happy racing !
